Powder post beetles are wood boring insects which live in wooden doors, furniture etc. Yellow powder falling from furniture is an indication of Wood borer problem of your premises. This powder falls from the holes made by larvae of the beetle at the time of emerging as an adult. They are not termites but are equally capable of damaging your wood work. Same like the termites.

Treatment for Wood Borer:
