Rat Control Problems Easily Solved
Rat control problems? Rats are some of the smartest, most adaptable pests, and are found all over the world. They eat anything (although they prefer fresh food), and can cause considerable damage to houses: they have even been known to gnaw through lead or PVC pipes. They can run, jump, climb and swim.
Female rats can have up to twenty offspring in a year, and being social animals, may build multiple burrows in the same area which can cause serious rat control problems in a short period of time.
The old-fashioned answer to rat control problems has been using traps and poisons to kill pests. Baiting, setting and emptying traps have frustrated legions of homeowners trying to rid their houses of rodents. Problems also arise with the use of poisons: rats that aren't killed after first eating poisoned bait will usually avoid it in the future: rodents that are killed may die in the walls or under the foundation of the house, and must be removed.
Modern technology has brought an answer to rat control problems. Ultrasonic electromagnetic devices plug into the wall, emitting a pulsing tone that drives rodents to distraction: it has been compared to having a siren in the living room. Because the tone is out of human hearing range, people are unaffected by it: cats and dogs don't notice it either. But rats, mice and even insect pests like roaches, fleas, spiders and ants find the sound intolerable. The exit the house, build no new nests: soon your home is pest free without poisons or traps.
